The One With A 1/2 Year Old...Already!?

(Thank you Grandma for the bunny ears!)

I know I said this last month, and I'll probably keep saying with each age and milestone, but I am LOVING this age! They have grow so much physically and developmentally this past month. It has been so fun to watch and be a part of. This is what life is like for us at 6 months:

 Cole Matthew
Height: 27.5in (85th percentile)
Weight: 16lb 6oz (30th percentile)

Your sleeping patterns: You still sleep through the night, but you aren't much of a napper anymore. Instead of sleeping 2 hours as usual, most days you only sleep an hour or so, if that. Some naps are better than others, but at least you make up for it at night :) We put you to bed around 7:30 and you wake up at 7:00 in the morning.

Your feeding schedule: You eat 7oz. every 4 hours. We've started giving you veggies at night at dinner time and you're loving it. So far you have eaten sweet potatoes, avocado, butternut squash, peas, and carrots. So far your favorite is sweet potatoes.

Sounds and motions you make: You talk all the time. Your voice isn't quite as high is it used to be, but it still so very sweet. You love to grab and hold onto your feet. You are also getting good at taking your paci out and putting it back in! You still loving gnawing on your hands. I think teething is fast approaching.

Your dislikes: Taking naps and waiting for your food :)

Your favorite toys: Playing with the toys on your play-mat and taking walks with Mommy, Faith, and Cooper.

What we are learning this month: You are just starting to stand up while we hold you. You are also very close to rolling over from back to tummy.

Faith Olivia
Height: 26in (50th percentile)
Weight: 13lb 13oz (10th percentile)

Your sleeping patterns: You have become a much better sleeper at night! You only wake up 1-2 times just wanting your paci, then your back to sleep right away. You are a great napper, sleeping 2 hours every time. Thankfully you sleep through your sweet brother's cries :) Although, the pediatrician said we have to start weening you from your swaddle so your not sleeping as deeply anymore the past 2 days, but hopefully you will be back to being a start napper soon. You also go to bed around 7:30 and you are usually still sleeping when Cole wakes up in the morning at 7:00, but we get you up too so your on the same schedule as your brother.

Your feeding schedule: You eat 7oz. every 4 hours just like your brother. Sadly, you refuse to nurse anymore and stopped completely last week :( You are just too curious and don't want to work for it anymore now that you get a bottle 2 days a week. You are also getting veggies at night at dinner time. You've also eaten sweet potatoes, avocado, butternut squash, peas, and carrots. You love it all except for the avocado. Your favorite so far is butternut squash.

Sounds and motions you make: You are finally starting to be more vocal. Not as much as Cole, but you give us lots of giggles and smiles. You are still our little stander. You bounce back and forth so long you fall asleep bouncing!
(My voice is SUPER annoying...I know :)

Your dislikes: Laying down while playing for long periods of time and being held like a baby.

Your favorite toys: Your jumperoo and definitely your favorite. You also love grabbing our faces and pulling on toys that hang down from your carseat.

What we are learning this month: Rolling all around! You just started rolling over from you back to your belly and you are having so much fun moving around the floor. We need to watch you though because sometime you roll yourself by Cole's feet and end up getting kicked in the head :)

Faith & Cole,
You both are such good babies and I can't stop myself from kissing you all day long. I have so much fun staying home with you and it makes going to work a little easier knowing that I get 5 whole days taking care of you and watching you grow. I am so thankful I was home when you, Faith, rolled over for the first time yesterday morning and that I got to see the look on your face afterwards. You were so proud of yourself! I love that I get to spend my mornings tickling you, Cole, and hearing your infectious giggle. I look forward to our walks each day that you both enjoy so much. It makes trying to lose this baby weight it little bit more enjoyable (although you both were definitely worth every pound :)
I love you both more than you'll ever know!
